Earth Givers
Earth Gives was specifically created to center the individual within the collective of change-making. Nonprofits are made up of people. So are businesses, governments and families.
This is not to put the responsibility of protecting our futures on any individual, yet it is about our collective potential to do just that.
So we invite you to think about how you can identify as an “earth giver.”
Since the largest group of philanthropists or donors is through individual giving, we hope that you participate in Earth Gives Day
Where you spend your dollars day-in-and-out has an impact. So your conscious choices can support your earth giving journey.
How you use your voice in sharing the knowledge you learn and inviting others to learn along with you can be super powerful. Your influence in your family, in your work place, toward your elected representatives – it all matters.
Volunteering is as powerful as the shade provided by a tree you plant, or the career you inspire by working at a camp or classroom to help those teaching STEM. Board service, introducing friends to a nonprofit you like, or even rolling up your sleeves to restore a riparian area is all meaningful.
Voting for policies and candidates that support climate-friendly efforts have lasting impacts from the air your kids breath to the water you drink, to the potential for regenerative agriculture and protecting our pollinators, to mitigating wildfires and more extreme storms.
And, of course, we wouldn’t be walking our talk without inviting you to consider Earth Gives in your giving mix. A $10 recurring donation compounds our potential to compound interest across the US and beyond. You can make that donation here. For donations that add up to $1,000 or more each year, you will enter into our “Super Seed” Circle of donors and receive special recognition on our giving day website, as well as receive VIP invites to a couple select virtual gatherings.

“For most of history, man has had to fight nature to survive; in this century he is beginning to realize that, in order to survive, he must protect it.”
-Jacques-Yves Cousteau
